This blog is about chemistry. At least most of the time. In case you missed it before, or are new to this blog, I am a professor at Linfield College, a private “comprehensive” four-year college in sunny McMinnville Oregon. I teach a wide variety of courses (General Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, Writing in Chemistry, ….), do research (all based on Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering, or SERS), brew beer, and play volleyball. Oh yeah, I try to go camping a lot, and once and a while post something here.
I hope you find Generally Chemistry fun, informative, and worth a little bit of your time. The opinions expressed here are my own, and not those of Linfield College.
